Max Holloway vs Calvin Kattar Peaks at 1.6 million viewers

ABC’s very first live MMA event broke records as UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs Kattar peaks at 1.6 million viewers in the final quarter hour.

“We are extremely pleased with the results of ABC’s first live UFC telecast” said ESPN’s Vice President of Combat Sports and NBA, Matt Kenny.

ESPN Press Room also reported that the UFC 257 episode of Countdown was the most viewed UFC Countdown telecast of the past decade. “The amount of fans that tuned in for both UFC 257 Countdown and UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Kattar main event far exceeded our pre-event estimates and offers strong momentum leading into UFC 257 on ESPN+ PPV.” said Matt Kenny.

The UFC is trending to possibly break even more PPV numbers this Saturday (23rd) at UFC 257: Poirier vs McGregor II. The huge event will cap off a three fight event week on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

Conor McGregor will make his return against number 2 ranked lightweight, Dustin Poirier in the main event. Whilst Michael Chandler makes the jump from Bellator to the UFC and faces Dan Hooker in the co-main event.
